DRIVE CHAPMAN’S PEAK

Chapman’s Peak drive is known for its scenic views and is considered one of the most spectacular marine drives in the world. You might have seen this drive in one of the James Bond movie scenes or one of the Mercedes Benz commercials! Its a about a 6 mile route with 114 curves. There is a toll, so make sure to save your receipt for the way back or you’ll have to pay twice. They accept card but the machines can take awhile depending on signal so cash is faster!
For the best views, have someone else drive while you capture the drive. There are also viewpoints along the route where you can stop for photos.
CAPE OF GOOD HOPE TOUR

Cape of Good Hope is the southernmost point of Africa, it is among the most famous capes in maritime history. Its discovery by Europeans in the 15th century opened the first all-water route from Europe to Asia. There are many tours to choose from, and a lot of them are full day excursions which include a boat ride in Hout Bay, Cape of Good Hope, Muizenberg beach, and Simon’s Town / Boulders Beach to see the penguins.

VISIT TABLE MOUNTAIN

If you’re in Cape Town, you HAVE TO get up high to one of the scenic view points! Whether that’s Table Mountain or Lion’s Head, take advantage of the stunning views. Table Mountain is one of the 7 Wonders of Nature! You take a cable car up to the top, and there is loads of nature and hiking trails. The view from Table Mountain is one of the best vantage points where you can see the ocean and beaches on one side, and Lion’s Head and the skyscrapers downtown on the other; there is also Robben Island out in the distance.

SWIM WITH PENGUINS AT BOULDERS BEACH

YESSS! There are penguins in Africa!! ANDDD you can swim with them!! At Boulder’s Beach in Cape Town, there is a colony of endangered African Penguins. If you want to swim with them, go early right away in the morning because it can get touristy and the penguins naturally swim away from all the humans as the day goes on.

GO CLAY PIGEON SHOOTING AT LOURENSFORD ESTATE…& GO WINE TASTING AFTER

Hope this isn’t controversial haha but this was my FIRST time shooting a gun! I got to shoot about 4 or 5 different types of guns. I was terrified but the guides were great. The Lourensford Estate is absolutely beautiful with vineyards and orchards. I totally was not expecting this going to a shooting range! After you can head into their wine cellar for wine tasting of some of the best South African wine & port!

GRAB SUNDOWNER DRINKS AT THE TWELVE APOSTLES HOTEL

Sundowners are basically sunset happy hour drinks. The Sunsets in Cape Town are PURE MAGIC. The Twelve Apostles Hotel is right on the ocean & even if you aren’t staying there, you can visit the terrace at The Leopard Bar.
BEACH IT UP

SO MANY GOOD BEACHES TO PICK FROM! Literally the beaches are all so beautiful in Cape Town. The colorful houses are at Muizenberg Beach, and it is one of the most popular surfing spots in Cape Town.

Both Clifton and Camps Bay Beach are beautiful! These are my absolute two favorite beaches of all time!
